Wondering if anyone has any information on the incredible amount of HD channels that we can not get in our area of Atlanta?

I recently got the new "CONTROL YOUR DVR FROM THE COMPUTER" email and went through adding it to my online queue. It looks great and it even had my current schedule loaded in. One thing I noticed though is that there are about 20 HD channels in the online listings that are not available on my TV. Does anyone know when we are going to get those channels in our area or is my TV the only one that does not have them? I know that TWCHD and Comedy Central HD are two I would like to have that I see are available on the computer but not on my TV.

thanks for any info.

FJ

I haven't received any information on how to control my DVR from my computer. Can you post instructions?

As for the HD channels, maybe those channels are only available at a higher cost tier? Can you view the non-HD channels? I can only see a handful of HD channels on Digital Preferred. It is quite pathetic IMHO.

Yes, I will post the email sent to me below. Also, I should have every channel. I pay out my a$$ for what I get now and don't think there is another tier above me.

Here is the email (the link goes to here: http://www.fancast.com/mydvr):

Now you can schedule your DVR to record your favorite
TV shows and movies from anywhere you have Internet
access with a computer. You'll never miss a program or
movie again.
This new feature of Comcast DVR service lets you:
• Schedule your recordings online
• Review your scheduled recordings
• Modify a scheduled recording
• Modify a series recording
It all adds up to convenient Comcast DVR scheduling the way you want it—at
home or online.

MyDVR Manager is easy to activate.

Getting rid of Comcast for DirectTV was seriously a day of joy for me. I used to have to schedule some sort of service call with Comcast every few months, the DVR was not as good as DirectTV's and DirectTV's prices seem much more reasonable. Or maybe I just prefer giving my money to them over Comcast. I also switched my internet to Clear at the same time. I haven't had a single problem with them, while my Comcast internet used to drop pretty regularly.

They need to provide the ability to buy only the channels you want.
I hardly watch TV, but when I do, all I watch is CNN, HBO, Showtime, AMC,
the History Channel and whatever channel it is that shows first time home buyers
buying houses. I love Jon Stewart and the Colbert report, but you can
see the best bits on the internet. The network channels are completely useless to me.

When someone offers a la Carte, I'm in!
